We also tried out our PODEE "hand-free" bottles. We wanted to see if we could use them on our upcoming plane trip to Florida... but we probably won't be using them. They work OK, but only AFTER the boys suck them forever to get the milk out.

Jake sits up for a photo & PODEE bottles

Saturday Bar B Que
We also tried to take a nap in the same crib for the first time ever. It really did not go so well as Drew was rolling over Jakes legs and both felt that screaming was more fun than napping. Mommy has decided that she will always be sure there are 2 cribs or pack and plays for us to sleep in. I guess they like their own "space".
Yet another Swing Adventure
Here is yet another day at the park and in the swing. This video was taken last Wednesday at a new park and Jake was slobbering during the swinging. You can even see it in the video! And this is now my favorite park because it is free and is usually not as crowded as it was the day we went. There was a preschool family picnic being held there, but Nana and I were able to steal the swing away from the other kids for a short time!
There were lots of other kids to watch and a lake to walk to at this park. After this adventure at the new park, both boys were very tired and fell DEEPLY asleep during the car ride home.

Rolling Drew
Drew actually rolled over on his own on Friday but I missed it because I had gone to the bathroom... he was on his back when I left him and when I came back, he was on his belly. I tried and tried and tried to get a video and finally had success yesterday. Of course, we were listening to some pretty interesting music while Drew "did his thing". hee hee.
And here is another good video.... Drew got very tired of my making him show us his new talent over and over and over again (hey, I had to get a good video to post!).
I'm sure Jake will be rolling over soon. He actually was rolling to his side weeks before Drew ever was, but Drew just decided to beat his brother with this milestone since his teeth are slower. ha ha.

Jumperoo Fun!
The boys are finally starting to somewhat figure out that their jumperoos can be a lot of fun! They still don't continuously jump like crazy, but they have started to move a bit while they are in them. Originally they would just sit and stare at the toys or me... then they gradually started grabbing the toys... and now they move in the seats. Here is a video showing both boys having fun and getting a little bit of exercise. :)
This will probably be a daily activity as I have been told that they should NAP much better once they move around a bit and are using energy to do things. Woo hoo!

Park!
We hosted a playgroup this morning and had a lot of fun with lots of other twins. Unfortunately, Mommy forgot to get some pictures.... but that is because both Drew and Jake were not being cooperative. They ended up eating lunch at 11:00 am rather than their normal 12:00 AND then they both fell asleep by 11:30 while our company was still here. Such great hosts. ha ha.
This afternoon Nana and Mommy took us to a local park for the first time. We got in a baby swing TOGETHER and absolutely loved it.

Eventful Dinner
So the boys decided to have a major breakdown right before dinner. Nothing I did would calm them down. They pretty much were screaming and/or crying for almost 20 minutes with breaks to only take deep breaths. I could not figure out what was wrong so I guess they were just ready to eat... But after they finished their dinner, they were a little tuckered out from all the crying. Poor little guys.
OH-- and we tried Gerber stage 2 foods today! We had mixed vegetables and they liked them.. of course, not as much as the bananas, but at least they did like some veggies... unlike Daddy!

6 month Check Up Today
We had our 6 month check up today and the boys are much more in the "norm" for their weights and heights! Here are their stats:
Drew
Weight = 18 pounds 14 ounces
Height = 27 1/4 inches
Jake
Weight = 17 pounds 10 ounces
Height = 27 inches
Both have slowed down their weight gain and shot up in their heights. Our pediatrician was very happy and said both are very healthy. They are both in the 50% - 60% range for their weights and heights.
Unfortunately they also had to have all their shots today and neither were happy about that... especially this evening. However at one point Drew was smiling and giggling and we caught the tail end of it in this video (I gotta learn to have the video in arms reach at all times!)
