First "REAL" Haircut - 16 months old

We took the boys to "Cartoon Cuts" for their first real haircut. Their hair has been slightly out of control and both mommy and Nana have taken some liberties to the stray and crazy hairs.... but we figured it was time to get it cut "for real".
Luckily, the boys were pretty tired and NOT fussy while they were cutting at all. Of course, we got very lucky because this hair place actually had Disney's Cars on little TVs in front of each chair. Little did they know that they were going to be able to cut BOTH boys hair with absolutely no problems... If you look at the photos, they are so in the TV watching zone. During the cut, one of the other stylists even commented about how "well-behaved" they were for their age. ha ha!
What can we say? The boys love that stinkin' movie.
Here is a "before" (at Eggspectations that morning) and "after" in the stroller at the mall. Click the pictures to see the up-close difference!

the Battle and the Refridgerator

Jake has been a master climber for months now, but recently he climbed himself into some trouble and ended up in a battle with a toy. Unfortunately, the toy won. You can see the damage in the photo.

Drew has also decided to start climbing into more uncharted territory.

Now that both boys are walking, they are absolutely all over the place... we are having a bit of a hard time being able to grab the camera to capture everything they are getting into... but hopefully we'll have a few more good shots to share soon!

A few days ago it was very sunny out so we took the boys out in the wagon. One little guy was riding while his brother pushed him. Can you tell who is who? When they wear any sort of winter jacket and/or hat, it seems to be just a little harder to tell.... although they both have their own distinctive facial expressions which makes it easy for those of you "in the know". :)

They boys also are completely in love with anything that has wheels, especially trucks. They will watch the trash and recycle men the entire time it takes them to pick up everyone's trash in the cul-de-sac. They were really entertained for a long time recently when some workers repaved our driveway because there was a big concrete truck out front. They both just sat and/or stood and watched in a trance. I was thinking about taking them to "Monster Jam" for their Daddy's upcoming birthday, but Daddy doesn't want that for his birthday. :( Maybe next year!

JAKE IS WALKING!

Almost 2 months after Drew starting taking steps on his own, Jake is finally taking his own steps. He just started letting go by himself this past weekend. He still doesn't seem too interested in making walking his full time mode of moving, but he at least now does it without being "forced" by Mommy and/or Daddy. Here is a video of him going all the way down the hallway for the FIRST time!

Of course, we wanted to try to video tape him coming back down the hallway. When we tried, he went back to his normal refusal to even stand. hee hee. We'll just say that Jake does what HE wants when HE wants to.
