As the boys are building their vocabulary exponentially, we come across a few funny words and you just can't help but giggle. Often they are trying to say something or tell you something, but what actually comes out of their mouths is very different and sometimes even hilarious. Check this video out of Jake telling us about his "Monster Trucks". Enjoy!

Happy 2nd Birthday!
Happy Halloween!
So much has been going on lately that we haven't had time to post much. Mommy took the boys to a Petting Zoo and went on our very first hayride with our other twin friends, Luke, Zack, Dakota, and Lacy (and their mommies, Shelley & Jena). We celebrated our 2nd birthday with a small get together at our house.
We also went trick or treating for the first time. Even though we got a little wet because it was misting/sprinkling, we had a great time. We actually weren't too interested in any of the candy though... we were much more excited about the pretzels!
Happy Halloween!

OBX 2009
The Outerbanks was a new experience for the boys this year. They were not mobile last year so this year was completely different for ALL of us. They both were all over the place in the house and out.
Drew absolutely loved the waves and the ocean water.
He spent most of his time giggling, talking, and yelling at the waves. He even had a few waves knock him over and drench him, but he just laughed the whole time. That is VERY different from last year.
Jake was not a fan of the water and would run if it looked like it might come anywhere near him. He also was not a big fan of the sand on his hands - but the rest of his body was fair game. He seemed to enjoy sunbathing on or off a beach towel in the sand.
He also LOVED the pool. We could not keep him out of it and he would even just step right in - no matter where he was (shallow or deep end).
Although both boys had many many screaming fits, it was an enjoyable family vacation thanks to all the helping hands. Nana, Poppy, and Deanna all were on duty to help out and we could not have made it through the week without them.
We also had Jena, Tim and their twins Lacy & Dakota with us. The four toddlers were quite a lot of work, but also a lot of fun!
We are already looking forward to next year!

Weekend Update
We love ice cream & Granny & Pops!
Also, Nana found these new "mini" ice cream cones and we gave them to the boys for dessert. They absolutely loved them... and ate them like they were pros. I think I'll have to find them in our grocery store... or maybe go the cheapy route and make my own at home! :)

Funny Things
There have been so many things that the boys are getting into lately. Both boys enjoy climbing onto any and all tables by any means necessary, playing with plugs that luckily are no where near an outlet, chasing the dogs with all the ride-on toys. Drew has climbed into the tub while it was filling up with all his clothes on, likes to kick the dogs, and is talking up a storm. While Jake throws tantrums on the floor, climbs up on to shelves, and pushes chairs around the room to wherever it is he wants to climb up to. It has become a house rule that you can not turn your back on them for long AT ALL. But in addition to having eyes in the back of our heads, there are little things like what is in these videos that just make us crack up on a regular basis.
Never a dull moment around here!
